  • I think using the clutch on downshifts is just a old habit from when I had a bike without a slipper clutch. My gsxr came stock with one but my old one did not. It's just to keep the back tire from skidding under hard engine braking. It also helps keep the chassis from getting upset.

    you dont use clutch on up shifts i noticed but you do on downshifts

    any advantage to this? or do u have a quick shifter?

    maybe i'll give it a try sometime...
