if you don't mind me asking what was your starting weight?

I love your realistic approach to presenting the information to others adjusting or inquiring about the surgery. Congratulations!!!!

I'm 21 months out from a Gastric Sleeve and have lost 120 pounds so far and I love how you put this journey. It pretty much is the same way I feel, I go to a support group once a month and it kills me how a lot of people constantly complain about how they could not stop eating food and before surgery I ate normally once a day. When I had my surgery on May 10, 2010 I was 339 pounds. The only reason I even had the surgery was to help me get a spinal fusion and I am still working towards that goal

WELL SAID!!!!!!

OMG! Thank you! I am 62 years old, male, and have been struggling all my life with weight. You have covered everything I have gone thru and what this operation has done for you. I am in the process of everything leading up to the Sleeve operation. I just can't wait. I am so excited and your video has given me a real boost because I am so much like you in my dieting attitudes and the way you feel about dieting and people who diet. How are things going now since your last video?

Thanks for your honesty!! Plus its good to see someone from Louisiana on here. In gearing up to have my surgery in a few months. I plan on keeping it real with myself as well.

You're being honest! I love it! You look great :) Just had my sleeve done last week...We shall see how it goes. I had the band and had to have that revised. Thank you for sharing your story!

I needed to hear that, my sister had the same surgery as you and she started off walking 3 miles a day, and I was wondering why was she working so hard, this is the whole point for her getting the surgery. I'm glad she wasn't being lazy, but what was the point so soon, she was going to lose weight regardless. I'm so like you in many ways when it comes to weight and go do the workout thing etc. I'm going to send my information out tomorrow to the doctor that did my sister's surgery. Thanks again
I love the fact that you stated that it's not hard. I love the way you don't act pretty even though you are beautiful any way ou are. :-) I'm proud of you and I am going to do it in the next few months. Love your post.

You have answered so many questions in a positive way. I am two weeks pre op and worried about everything "I think I am going to have to do". I know that everyone is different but to know that I can treat myself now and then without punishing myself is going to make this easier than I thought.

@queenbeehive1 You're welcome. And yes, please don't punish yourself, we've all done enough of that already. Don't diet either, instead just let your body naturally increase its consumption and focus your efforts on water, vitamins and protein. The rest will work itself out.
