d3faultlogin. I think you need to do some reading up on the subject and educate yourself to all sides of the situation before commenting and making yourself look ignorant.

This is just plain ridiculous...is she really claiming that the fish farms is responsible for introducing salmon lice in the environment? Isn't salmon lice as old as salmon, in fact depending on it to survive?
Wild salmon will seek sweet water form the streams naturally to rid itself of lice. This is a natural process, and is of course the very reason you find quite concentrated amounts of lice on salmon in lower parts of streams.

I wonder what backers she has. I bet if she presented her information to sport angler groups, she'd get their backing on moving the farms away from migration routes. Especially if she lined up all of her data in a way that BC lawmakers can understand (read: make it easy to understand), she could get some laws passed. Of course, she needs backers, and the people that could get most passionate are the sport anglers.

Good question phildaluca - she only attacks salmon farmers because she is paid by commercial fisherman to do so (fact).
