remember flintstones were targeted for adults like king of the hill or south park is today.

It is kinda funny seeing the history like this, sometimes I wonder why comedy central or cartoon network have or more specifically Mike judge or the guy from family guy have not bought the rights to redo the flint stones...

ok. so I'm antismoking big deal! thumbs down me if you want but sheesh. Smoking provides no benefit and is proved to be unhealthly.

Now I don't hate anyone that smokes and have nothing against them, but I say this as my personal opinion. I won't see it as a surprise if in 10-20 years smoking will be illegal.

The anti-smokers hate these types of commercials because they illustrate the freedom that America enjoyed...and the notion that cartoon characters influenced kids to smoke has been laughed of the planet. The Flintstones was an adult cartoon and did nothing to cause kids to smoke.
