XIII (Cutscenes)

Some cutscene sequences of the shooter game 'XIII' cut together, in no particular order, to give an impression of the cool comic-book style and soulful soundtrack of this game. I have been careful to choose extracts that do not give away too much of the plot. Most parts are from the intro, the rest shouldn't really spoil your game.

XIII was developed and published by Ubisoft Entertainment (Studio Paris) and saw release in 2003 for Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. In 2004 it was also ported to Macintosh by Feral Interactive.

XIII is a rather conventional first-person shooter with some stealth elements, however with a quite unconventional style, being held almost completely in comic-book style by using elements such as multiple picture frames, cartoon-like character rendering and written sound effects.

It is all from the game's original soundtrack, written and performed by the late Future Primitive Sound collective of San Francisco. The soundtrack was released on CD though, search for "XIII: The Thirteen Soundtrack".

@Emnor1993 I also like how u can use objects to hit ppl, and then hide their bodies if u choose to do so :D (and also the "tap tap tap" skill and the comics that pop up when you headshot someone with crossbow or sniper)

finally someone appreciating what really makes this game great. Almost everywhere else people say "this is a good shooter" but i think they are missing something. Apart from the apparent difference of being a brillant cel-shaded-comic-style-shooter based on a great french/belgian comic book, which at least some people note, its the intriguing plot, the great Voice-Acting and especially the incredible music and the outstanding attention for detail that create an intense atmosphere in the game.
