I almost find it grosser that he chews with his mouth open so much than what he is eating. But then again he is eating worms so whatever it takes to get it down I guess.

For me - the worst part was having it touch extra places... it didn't need to touch my lips and cheeks so I chewed with mouth open so I touched it less... I guess my tongue is worthless from eating ultra spicy Thai food for 4+ years.

that's why it was so strange... the cocoon part tasted like silk cloth - unexpected... but, maybe should have been, right?

I used to eat silkworm often, although I'm not Thai. Silkworm is also eaten in Korea and in China. (I'm Chinese) I find it good, it's a bit nutty in flavor, I find (the ones you are eating are smaller than the ones I ate, though).

I miss being able to eat good things (I am fed by TPN now, because of digestive system failure, unrelated to the silkworm though, haha, so I no longer eat by mouth, I'm just stuck with IV bags --boring!)

i remember eating the bigger version (... uhm ... thicker i guess and its got a dark chocolate color shell) when i was little, i remembered it tasted like eggyoke (or something like that :D)
