I'll apologize in advance for the poor narration but still wanted to show this video. Pit was on an ESE aspect at around 9000' on a 32 degree slope. Compression Tests and an Extended Column Test didn't produce any remarkable results. As we cut out the Rutschblock, we received a large collape and a crack shot 30 feet out from our pit and opened about an inch. The Rutschblock Test was more representative of the conditions, failing on one jump (RB4) with a Q1 shear. The failure layer was facets on top of a crust about 2 feet down.
