I also have to key on the huge difference in cost. Office is $699 vs $49 for iwork.

Is it possible to track changes in IWork as compared to Word? what about when working with multiple authors and versions?
How easy is to customize templates?
I use formulas directly from Word, or write in LaTex for publications, but never go beyond integrals, sums, and mainstream statistical functions... would I really need to buy other software to do that in Pages? (BTW In Word u dont need to buy Endonte anymore as it has an integrated referencing system)
What about macros?

Office 2008 is still better. Word is better than Pages, and Excel is still a lot better than numbers because it has more advanced features. The thing that annoys me the most about Apple's software is that it doesn't give you the option to change language (you have to change the system language so that it'll then change), and that's really fucking annoying, especially to someone like me that's bilingual. I write in both Spanish and English. That's the reason why I'd keep using Office.

ye i think word and excel are better, but i think the windows versions are better, in general, i dont really liek the mac versions not as stable as the windows versions, ye i heard about the language support, pretty silly, should be fixed, but who knows when, ur not the only person whos complained about that.
