www.show.com/tudors The Tudors starts April 1! Bypassing the typical costume drama for a more scandalous take on the times, The Tudors will focus on the rarely dramatized, tumultuous early years of King Henry 8's nearly 40-year, omnipotent reign of England.

It is true there was a large spectacle known as the field of the cloth of gold in 1520 at English owned Calais between Francis I of France and Henry VIII who was 29 at the time, both country's noblemen, churchmen, lady's in waiting, women and knights alike were all present and they hunted, feasted, mated, entertained and wrestled each other. So the film is fairly true on that part.
