Recorded at Steely Dan's performance at the Canandaigua Musical Arts Center in Canandaigua, NY on July 23, 2011.
I got one and you want four
It's so hard to help you
I can't keep up with you no more
And you treat me like it's a sin
But you can't lock me in
You want me here with you right to the end
No thank you my friend
I fear the monkey in your soul
Won't you turn that bebop down
I can't hear my heart beat
Where's that fatback chord I found?
Honey don't you think it was wrong
To interrupt my song?
I'll pack my things and run so far from here
Goodbye dear
I fear the monkey in your soul
Great , but I wish sometimes they wouldn't turn their backs on their own 'rockier' beginnings, and play some of their earlier material without the need to re-harmonize those 'simpler' chord progressions - like they did here.

I love Steely Dan's music, but Walter Becker is killing me on this one.

Now, I know why he doesn't sing very often.

@PJBubbles I gotta say, if I was fortunate enough to see the Dan play Haitian Divorce or Gaucho, two songs I LOVE, and Walter stepped up to sing them.... I would be pretty damn pissed off.

This is the song that was playing while the chick puked behind me. Anybody remember that? What a mess.

@PJBubbles Don't you blaspheme! (I would love them singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat!" LOL!

Walter should be playin guitar more along with his singing. He is so great! Although anything Steely Dan does live or on album is excellent.. Don't get me wrong...
