"fair and balanced" is when you use reason and logic to form a reasonable opinion on an issue and also allow opinions from both sides to be heard. "unbiased" is when there are no opinions heard, just pure reporting of facts. foxnews runs unbiased reporting for most of the day and then in the evening time they have fair and balanced opinion shows.

  • @robocong7420 I can't tell if you're joking or not..

In the unlikely case that you aren't joking, let me provide you with the definition of BIAS: "a particular tendency or inclination, especially one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question"

Therefore, the definition of being UNBIASED would be to be BALANCED.

  • @FvckTheFvckingSystem

"fair and balanced" does not = unbiased, what don't you get about that???

  • @robocong7420

Fox News' slogans are "Fair and Balanced" and "We report, you decide."

Are you completely oblivious to this fact?

  • @lettersben

fox news never claimed to be just an unbiased news source. that's a lie, probably fed to you by the liars at msnbc

  • @lettersben you tell it man haha...bill O'Reilly complaining about some one being biased...is so hypocritical...its alsmot funny. almost.

  • Archbishop Charles Chaput -- "We make a very serious mistake if we rely on media like the New York Times, Newsweek, CNN, or MSNBC for reliable news about religion. These news media simply don’t provide trustworthy information about religious faith — and sometimes they can’t provide it, either because of limited resources or because of their own editorial prejudices.”

If you can't believe these sources about religion, then doesn't that color everything they publish?

  • What's sad about republican bias attacking liberal bias is that MSNBC openly claims to be opinion journalism, while Fox lies to their viewers about it being nothing more than an unbiased news source.

That's what makes Fox terrible. It's not the ideas or general philosophies that are terrible. It's the corruption that lies in the heart of what it is, and what tells others it is.
