Marius Constant - Twilight Zone Theme (Stereo)

Marius Constant was a Romanian-born French composer who perhaps is best known for writing one of the great themes in television history that for the "Twilight Zone". The show was hosted by Rod Serling who also wrote many of the scripts for this terrifying anthology series which premiered in 1959.

Hhm, I was under the impression that the theme was composed by Bernard Herrmann.

@Jcolinsol Herrmann did a lot of work for Hitchcock but Constant wrote this.

@Jcolinsol You are both correct. Hermann wrote the original them used in Season 1. It appears Constant contributed to it for Season 2, including the guitar theme we all recognize, and this was used moving forward.

@windowdresser I always figured that!! I've heard this one several times on here and I thought, this sounds really similar but isn't the original! Guess I've heard the original enough times to be able to tell. LOL

@Jcolinsol Herrmann's was in fact used for Season One of the 1959 series, but for Seasons 2-5 of the series it was replaced by this from Constant.

There was an old anonymous cassette with a recording that was found in a cabinet. No one knew who wrote it but a music editor later dropped it in for the twilight zone. That's the story I was told.
