Don't worry! You can do it!
Believe me, I'm Arabic & I've only taken about two classes in my life. I usually bellydance on my own, "interpreting the music" to put it in your teachers words. My guess is you have the basics down, if you've been studying since October. The point is to know the song, and then to just go for it. Some of the best dances turn out to be improvs. If you're scared you won't be able to dance for the whole song or something along those lines, don't worry... You will. :D

Agree. Aziza's is also good. I started dancing october 2008 and to do a solo performance for my studio yearly dance is making me apprehensive as my instructor told me to 'feel the music Kat and interpret it your way'.

I would also recommend looking at Aziza's interpretation of this song. I think hers and Hannan are at a tie for the best.

My dance teacher chose this song for me to dance solo and believe me I have scoured youtube for steps I can follow and yes I agree with sasguru1 that Hannan danced to this with the utmost grace. Thank you Hannan :)

If you search the whole YouTube, beside the Egyptian belly dance diva Souhair Zaki, Hannan is the best ever to dance, with grace, to Oum Kolthoum music, Alf Leila We Leila (One and Thousand Nights). Enough said.
