DEMOCRATS, FUCK YEAH!!!
-
Actually the clinton administration gave them the federal license. IPS you need to read a little and get your facts straight, before you post your comment.
-
The Bush administration requested it. God, republicans are stupid!
-
They perform what the perfrom because the US goverment requests it. Bottom line your beef should be with those who chose not to have us troops guard people and chose blackwater. If it were me I would choose blackwater every time, thats the bottom line.
-
Bottom line: they perform what they perform outside of the military chain of command and at a substantial taxpayer expense. NOBODY should be able to do that: whatever they do should be done ONLY by the real military.
-
Erik prince is the man, blackwater is staffed by professionals. Congress and others use these guys all the time. Why? Over 1800 missions and no one person they were protecting has been killed. Blackwater is performing a service that was requested, not some con, get your facts straight

If a US Congressman went to Iraq he shouldn't have to "hire" anyone. He should be protected by the US Military. Prince is conducting a racket: taking taxpayer money for services that should be done by active US Navy Seals. Just another politically connected conman defrauding taxpayers.
-
He is a ex-navy seal, of course he is calm, he is the man, I think erik prince is the man!!! Go blackwater. If waxman went to Iraq, wonder who he would hire to protect him.
-
The US military could offer protection which would be just as good. After all, many of the mercenaries in Iraq are ex-Seals and special ops. It's stupid to hang Blackwater's value on this point. If the US military cannot guarantee the safety of administration officials then that's a training problem and we need to train our military better.

Except we all know Rep Issa asked that to try to show favoritism toward Clinton which was over 7 years ago. Also perhaps that Rep Issa is too focused on Clinton than to worry that maybe mercenaries are robbing the American taxpayer, endangering American soldiers, and profiting from the war in Iraq.
1873 missions / 56 incidents where they shoot back = 2.99% - Actually pretty low considering it's a war.
Also none of their protected persons have ever been killed
