Total Lunar Eclipse December 21, 2010

Owned and produced by Kimberly Mallett - Photographer Kimberly shares her stunning photos of the Winter Solstice -Christmas Lunar Eclipse as seen from Toronto Ontario December 21, 2010.
Montage photos of Lunar Eclipse Start time: 12:13pm - 5:01am. The last time these astronomical events took place in sync was on Dec. 21, 1638, and it won't happen again until at least 2094.
I did not use a tripod, or remote and hand held to capture each photo. You will see the photos, as seen by my view, and through lens, no photo shopping was done. It was -7c.
It was a amazing cosmic historical journey and blessed to experience. (:

I once seen the moon red as blood and it lasted a long time like that as it was just coming over the mountain. When I seen it I thought the rapture happened and thought I was left behind. I was sad and thought I was going to Hell because I didn't get to go in the rapture even though I'm saved. But as the moon kept rising it turned orange then got a little higher and turned yellow then higher and it was back to white. I dont know if it was an eclipse or just dusty air that changed the moon.

@godgirlsguitars I know the first time I saw a red moon felt the same. Guess it goes with listening to all the 'dogma' and believing in it. Now I await them!! Tonight I am capturing the Perigree Moon which is larger then normal. I hope for clear sky here.I took a peek-a-boo shot prelude of last nights in between clouds. which can be seen at my website on face book stiletto rose photography as well as IF I get some of tonights will post there and my twitter account. ~ Magical ~

Good pics but why is the full blood red moon the only close up one? The net seems to remove any videos that recorded this insane blood red eclipse last december that last for a hour and 40 minutes. I only find like 1-3 minute videos which only contain like 3-7 seconds of the actual eclipse and for some reason always a close up.
