Sub Rosa!

The final round from a set of games we played with the developer of Sub Rosa yesterday (and I believe David from Wolfire joined us as well).

Sub Rosa is a game influenced by the Dark Business mission we play in ShackTac, and its mechanics are somewhat similar. There are three teams, Gold, Blue and Grey. Gold wants Blue's money, Blue want's Gold's documents, and Grey wants both. The game was created for the 7 Day First Person Shooter challenge last week, but the developer (of Hockey? and A New Zero fame) plans to continue development on it now that 7DFPS is over. It's pretty fun in its current state as-is, but I'm excited to see what he adds. One thing that was said on the blog is that he wants to add VOIP, and I can hear it now: "you got the docs," "yeah I got the docs, you got the cash," "of course I got the cash, let's do this clean, nice and easy" and then everyone dies in a hail of bullets when Grey swoops in not giving a fuck.

On Monday I'll release another Sub Rosa video, more of a montage of sorts probably. Consider this a teaser, I guess!
