  • yes on PRT'S but no fuel injection like the Navy connie -R-3350-42

  • Hi kiesmer,

yes, engines (Curtiss-Wright R-3350- 32WA) are fitted with PRT´s. Engines have water (methanol) injection, advanced ignition system and they are only carburetor engines, that means they don`t have fuel injection pumps like the civilian versions. 32WA-engines are very powerful, for short time they can activate nearly 3900hp! I`m restoring one of these masterpieces but for ground running only.

    Regards Andre

  • Does anyone know if the Neptune's 3350's are fitted with PRT's, power recovery turbines?

  • @Polaris688 I don't know. I would try asking the guys from HARS as they own and restored it.
