You r right Scott, I can add something else: Try to drink the least times a month, and plan your day before you drink, like having very light meals like watery fruits and do burn calories with cardio. Keep only healthy snacks around and at home. And since you have an "empty stomach" protect your system with a spoon of olive or coconut oil...Get hammered and enjoy... then be smart enough to detox diet next day...

The hell with alcohol. I've grown up with to alcoholic step-dads and I've seen the mess it has done in both their lives. Not to mention alcohol is a depressent, and it often only makes me more depressed. This whole needing to drink alcohol to loosen up and be more social is bull pucky! If anyone wants to losen up, take up an adrenaline sport, and if you want to feel buzzed, try doing as many back flips on a trampoline or as many spins while ice skating and you'll feel plenty drunk!

@bronx43 actually the calories go through your body very fast one of the main factors is what you eat while your drunk greasy foods and waffle house arent good. i never gain weight from drinking i actually lose weight because i never eat while drinking. beer belly is a myth

this cleared a few things up for me, I didn't think about alcohol like this. Society can make it seem like it is the alcohol itself making us store fat, being that it is a toxic calorie intake. But the main obstacle is that it delays metabolism. So we have to be sober to use fat and metabolize food properly. Glad I saw this video.

So.... drink on an empty stomach. Lol. Gets you drunk faster and doesn't make you store fat!
