That was not a sour note. It was a conscious decision by David to pick a note below that of which he normally sings there. He does this sometimes just to add orginality to an individual performance and it lets people know that this is an original performance and never lip-synched.

i'm a vocalist i listen to david and the gaither vocal band all the time it was not a sour note it was for real a note he meant to sing he has to mix it up from time to time so people no it is really him and not a recording. especially since there are singers who lip sing.

I dont think that was a sour note... it wasnt even close to the notes he's hit at that point in the song when he's done it before
