Try standing on the platform at Odenton when the Amtrak Acelas come through. The sneaky bastards don't have to sound the horns because there's not a grade crossing there, so if you're not watching down to the curves in each direction, it scares the crap out of you. They're doing 70, easy.
I know(more like 90 I think). I used to ride from Seabrook. Those damn things don't make any sound until they are in your face. It takes your breath away!
