treasure island FL DRUM CIRCLE POLICE STATE july 24 2011. this happens every sunday, a peaceful gathering of people and at 10 o clock the police come and make them stop drumming or leave all together. I dont have a problem with responsibility and so called curfews, but just who the hell are the so called peace officers so called protecting? also, the amount of unlawful arrests that happen sometimes at drum circles. who cares if people like to smoke marijuana at a drum circle! it seems the so called bogus war on drugs isn't that bogus, people are still getting hurt as a result of civili disobedient police and people masquarading as protectors of the peace. the only thing these police are protecting is their job, if they were truly peace officers they would make sure nobody in the crowd hurt another person, instead they come with force and make them leave, arrest innocent smokers of marijuana and destroy the sacredness and fun of the entire gathering! please note there are many children at these events as well. its not just in this gathering either, this stuff happens all over the place. The police roll in at the end of the film, i hope you enjoyed the drumming ! :D

We show up at the beach almost every weekend around 5:30-6:00pm, and watch people drink, and smoke weed (which is STILL ILLEGAL on the beach, by the way!!) and everyone usually has a really good time! For the most part, the police LEAVE EVERYONE ALONE until 10:00pm, when they show up to do THEIR JOB, which is to clear the beach! People only get arrested for ARGUING WITH THE POLICE, or refusing to leave! Just shut the fuck up and go home! LMAO!! I have NEVER been arrested at a drum circle!!

OK, but the problem here is that EVERYONE involved with the Drum Circles KNOWS that the beach has to be cleared at 10:00pm, but they still have the nerve to act surprised when the SAME police officers show up EVERY WEEK at 10:00pm to clear the beach! LOL! If they had ANY common sense, at about 9:50 they would wrap it up, and just tell everyone that it's time to go home, BEFORE the police show up and start arresting people! NO ONE would get arrested if they would JUST follow the fucking RULES!

Only 2 fights I've seen in 6 months.... and WE THE PEOPLE have stopped it and removed the idiots ourselves. I have been a recent victim of the police state drum circle revenue generation!!! WE THE PEOPLE can POLICE OURSELVES!!!
