It seems to me that you want to have your cake and eat it. I prefer Lewis's interpretation. It feels more loving and less desperate for dogma.

The fundamental flaw of this argument is imputing Christ's righteousness onto the Psalmist. The psalmist is a fallen man, condemning his enemies with startling uncharity. Christ was the true man, condemning his enemies righteously. Conflating the two leads the author down the dangerous path of not only failing to condemn the unabashed hatred of some of the Psalmists, but even to approbating it in the name of Christ.

BUT, the LION that is the True Lamb, and not the fake Jesus (the "thing") worshipped by the Kings of the Earth, also has moments in which his most inner heart, his LION HEART, cries out upon this spiritual cross "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do".

most the Psalms are the HEART of the LAMB amidst the LIONS. these lions are ferocious and wicked. POWERFUL, they are NOT MEN. THEY ARE DEMONS (GODS). they are the CORRUPT GODS or "SONS OF GOD" of Psalm 82, the spiritual hosts of absolute wickedness in the heavenly places. and these psalms are the crying heart of he "who descended" to be tormented by these punks.

Do you understand what the Screwtape Letters is about? He is not writing in first person.

So juvenile. So dilettantish. Look deeper and read more books.

He doesn't say the bible is wicked, just the author. Remove this video.

Ok,...What about when Isaiah was called baldy by some people he came into contact. He cursed them there & then, & they were ripped to shreds as his curse requested! Was/Is Isaiah wrong for seeking revenge for being called Baldy? God answered Isaiah's request. So we can see there is a right place for revenge in righteous anger. Do NOT mess with God,.. He Is NOT ONLY love, but righteousness & Justice in GREAT measure & totality.

The psalms do not make any claim to be thoughts or commands of God. Some psalms have become known as the cursing psalms. They give us insight into human nature. Christ did not apply every psalm to himself. The great thing about the bible is that it doesn't sugar coat it's subjects. Psalmists, and prophets were fallible humans. So let's learn the right lesson from this psalm...even holy men are cab able of hatred and sin. That's why we need Christ.
Hmmm never heard of Andrew Bain before, I wonder why.

everybody throw away cs lewis and a w tozer and take up the great bible teacher AndrewcBain. tozer and lewis' paltry, satanis attempts to help you unterstand the Bible are unworthy, only AndrewcBain can interpret Scripture rightly. NOT.
