As has been stated, far more than 71 can EASILY be hit in a season. I actually hit more than 80 during Spring Training of my 1st full season.
I met all MLB call-up goals in 15gms of AA ball, going on to hit 177 HRs w/ 432 RBIs by regular season end. In the playoffs, I hit another 25 in 11 games. (We won every post-season game on the way to the WS title.) I was awarded Rookie of the Year, MVP, WS MVP, Silver Slugger, etc...
This was all on Pro diff, so I'm tempted to try on All-Star.

On my second season I hit 108 HR 256 RBI's still need to break some more records

this game is way to simple. i average 140 Hr's per season on my player.
