  • This is clear proof of SUPERCONDUCTIVITY

    Not magic :)

  • I love magic :D

  • This is clear proof of magic.

  • fundamentally, the superconductor is an electromagnet which repels the magnet. if you're pondering, the reason as to why this doesn't function with regular magnets is due to the fact that regular magnets do not produce a persistent electrical current and thus, magnet's do not repel each other without making the levitating magnet spin off in all directions

  • The answer as to how he manages to perform this is very basic. A superconductor (a substance that exhibit magnetic properties when cooled to a certain temperature) is placed on the bottom and cooled until it exhibits magnetic properties. Superconductors are different from magnets due to the fact that unlike magnets, when cooled to extreme temperatures, a superconductor will produce a persistent electrical current that will cancel out the magnetic field of the magnet

  • So, uh, how do magnets work?

  • F*KIN MAGNETS!

  • @AlonSandler Personal experience huh? LOL!

  • what da FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Do not try this at home... or in the lab wearing shorts! liquid nitrogen is COLD! if you drop the bottle and spill some liquid nitrogen on your balls it hurts - this little trick is the first thing that made me sorry for studying physics... frost bites are for feet and ears, and that's bad enough :(
