Amtrak Texas Eagle 22: Bill Cosby On Board! 4/27/09.

Not only did AMTK 22 have a couple of private cars on the back, but there was a special visitor on board. A man on the back deck of the dome car alerted us of Bill Cosby being on board. We pointed out cameras towards the window he was sitting at. A few days later,Andrew Sax (Andrewsaxamaphone) told me Bill visited his school.

The name of the owner of the car is Patrick Henry He Named The To Cars After His Mother And Father. They Are Mainly In Houston Texas And They Went Into Chicago for National Train Day. If You Want To Rent It For A Day He Wants 8,500$ A Day! This Guy Is Rich!!

These cars are not owned by some middle aged FAT guy..... The dome car "Warren Henry" was used by AOE a few times... Both cars are ex UP and operated on the west coast during the golden days... The Warren Henry, a chair car, originally did not have a platform - If you take a close look, you will notice our platform is a bit larger then standard UP platform cars. Seriously! The people that own those cars are Loaded! But they are very very Nice cars!

Do a google search on creative charters houston and you'll find a vid of those cars in the stub track at the Amtrak depot in Houston. Or, if you're ever a passenger on the Sunset Limited running through Houston, take a look out your window when the train makes the station stop.

Those two private cars are kept in a stub track at the Amtrak depot in Houston. As a conductor for the UP here, I was called to add those cars to the Sunset Limited to head west to San Antonio where they would go north to Chicago on a trip to the Superbowl in Detroit. Those cars are immaculate, and they come complete with private chef, private quarters, and a viewing area in the dome car where you have a engineers view of the trip via a camera on the lead loco. Small world we live in!!!
