On April 30th, 2011, this beautiful suburban goat gave birth to two little kids. I had just dropped by to see goats born earlier this week, and the mamma just so happened to go into labor while I was there!
So I pulled out my video camera and started filming! The miracle of life!
After all was said and done, there were two healthy female kids, one delivered fully by the mother, the other a breech that needed a little extra help in the final stages.
Very pretty babies! Are they LaManchas? I hope they are doing well.
By the way, that was not a breech birth. Having legs come first is a completely normal position. In a breech, the hocks (Back knees) are the first to come out. It's one of the most dangerous positions for a goat, and if this had happened, you would have needed to reposition the kid. Otherwise, both the mom and baby would have most likely died.
Just a tip for future goat births!

@madzzers Thanks for the comment and info about breech births. Zara is now pregnant again (!), so we'll keep that in mind for when the new kid(s) come.
Regarding your first question: they are Togg/LaMancha crosses. Both the kids ended up with the LaMancha ears, but later developed Togg colouring.
