In 2009, Erin Hunter was one of three women in America nominated for the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Female Rider of the Year.
Also in 2009, Erin had the honor of sharing her racing story as a keynote speaker at the AMA's Women in Motorcycling event in Keystone, Colorado.
Erin is most proud, however, of her work as an ambassador for the sport of Landspeed Racing, and in particular her role in encouraging women to discover the sport. Erin is the founder of the sheEmoto Award which she bestows on the female LSR racer who best embodies what it means to participate.
"I am grateful to have accomplished a lot in my life, and I owe this success to people who never said 'girls don't do that', but instead said 'go for it!'", says Erin.
So much I want to comment about this. first off, 0:15 no back protector?
and then she talks about the sport being non-gender or whatever but then she gives out an award to only girls???
This is why people will always look at women different then men, shes contributing to it herself. Just have everyone be their own person and forget about color or gender.... Ask morgan freeman about black history month
And I wont say anything about how all theyre doing is mashing the gas down and holding on. :P

Another great story that leaves you with a smile on your face. Looks like the girls do go fast at Bonneville.
