then you don't even get this world, it ends right at world 7 and all you get is a game over...

Ooops, my bad. It's actually the NES version. Looks like the conversions for Sega MS & NES are identical, except for the colours.

It's typical for all Taito's Bubble Bobble series of games. They're full of secrets which you have to find to really finish the game. Even the home ports (or new versions) are like this. Sega Master System version of Rainbow Islands (which you're playing in this movie) is a great example of that.

yah, i remember not getting the diamonds as well... i had to stay away from the game for months until i got over it and tried again when i was a kid

Man. I always loved the game, but the endings were...well...

I remember, years ago, NOT getting all the colored diamonds. Needless to say, I was disappointed and didn't touch the game much after that. Eventually, I did get the 'real' ending, but I don't recall any of them.

So, this is very interesting to see. Can't wait to see the last one. :D
