@livininomaha You're entitled to your opinion. I like it though. The solo stuff is in no way comparable to the band stuff. But it stands up on it's own well in my opinion. I like the solo stuff. When I read biographies of each of the band members, these songs are like little musical stories from their lives. This is a peek into Lennon's life after the break-up of the Beatles.

Aw, c'mon.... Ringo deserves some time in the spotlight.
The musicians for this track were John Lennon, George Harrison, Klaus Voorman, Billy Preston, and Ringo. After they cut this, George was so excited about the renewed interplay between them that he suggested they form a band! John said he couldn't be in a band without Yoko, and that ended that....

I have always loved this song too, but I always believed it was more auto biographical for John, but he gave it to Ringo. There is a lot in interviews that show John was always the tortured genius who knew he had something going ...
