I adore this work. I was blown away when I first encountered Isabel's book (at the delightful Zonal store on Hayes) - I had to sit right where I was and look, slowly and lovingly, at each piece. Even more delightful: watching this video! How nice to see that Isabel's a light, happy sort. (I imagined she'd be something to the left of Wednesday Addams.) Now I'm even more smitten - with the work and the artist!

God, I would LOVE to own a Isabel Samaras original. Her universal horror paintings were/are amazing. Too bad money and I don't see each other often. :(

I really enjoyed watching this. It's hard to find pictures of artist's works in stages which is something I am always seeking because in some way it makes the art more "real" in a way, like the artist doesn't just stick paint on the canvas and Voila! A painting magically appears! I love Isabel's personality in this video, she seems super fun :) Beautiful paintings too :)
