Pics and video from the Marrow AGM held at Peninsula Medical School. Marrow is a student division of the Anthony Nolan Trust and we recruit much needed donors to the bone marrow register.
Leukaemia kills; often the only chance of survival is a bone marrow donation.
The Anthony Nolan Trust keeps a register of people willing to donate a sample of their marrow.
Since 1974 Anthony Nolan has given over 5800 children & adults a new chance of life.
Annually in the UK 24,000 people are diagnosed with leukaemia or related cancer.
Make a difference by signing up, all it requires is to fill out a form & give a sample of blood. This puts your name on a large database of people willing to donate a sample of their bone marrow to somebody who has leukaemia or blood disorder requiring a transplant to help them fight the disease. This is something you have to consider seriously before signing up to but if you are willing to donate Marrow then you should get your name on the list & potentially give the gift of life.
