Hello all you vampire lovers. I'm Dana Ward for ClevverTV and you must be in heaven with the latest Entertainment Weekly poll which started off with 64 of the hottest vamps, wolves, monsters and the just plain un-human from this year's popular tv shows and film. Readers got to straight-up vote for their faves, and well, the fans have spoken indeed - after a month of keeping online tabs on a reported 1.5-million votes - the public narrowed down the Sexy Beast contest to Damon from The Vampire Diaries and Edward from The Twilight Saga. Apparently, EW let Team Ian and Team Robert battle it out for a limited 72-hours... even with the outlet claiming the two vampires were literally tied with only 6 hours left. Interestingly, Entertainment Weekly reported that Somerhalder tweeted out to his followers toward the very end of the contest QUOTE 'that Pattinson guy will end up kicking my butt, however thanks for taking the time, that's really cool :) ' and that may just be the tweet that will make Damon from The Vampire Diaries go down in history as the 2010 Sexiest Beast... by less than 4-thousand votes, I might add. So it really was a close one. It's obviously the year of the vampire, but some are saying this trend is gonna be dead soon... kinda funny since they're technically immortal, but maybe just not for tv and film. Of course Damon is hotter, he is after all a REAL vampire. But not only is he hotter, the character Damon itself is a though character to play; with the constant change of personality and change of face expression. It's fascinating to see how there's not even a HINT of Boone in Damon (except for the same actor), how different the face expressions, way to speak and the body language, yet he's amazingly good. He deserves this title far more than Robert!
