fanfic chapter 20

last time on "once upon a dream" series, christina figured out that nick was one of the jonas brothers. then kevin finally finds the two and they all begin walking home.

nick: kevin i cant believe you dont have your cell. of all the times we need your stupid iphone, you "left it at the hospital" (nick and kevin are arguing about cell phones. kevin realized that he left his cell at the hospital so now instead of calling someone to pick them up, they have to walk.)

kevin: oh yeah?? wheres your stupid iphone??

nick: its in my pocket genius, its just dead!

kevin: ughh!!! who is the idiot now?? huh? you-- you you you YOU!!!!

nick: why i am the idiot??

kevin: because you couldnt charge your dang cell phone!!

nick: excuse me, i DID charge my dang cell phone. but batteries have this weird little habbit of dying after several hours!! like duh!!

chrisitna: oh just shut up you two!!!! geez!

(both kevin and nick sigh and keep walking)

kevin: how do your ribs feel, nick? (kevin breaks the silence after a few minutes)

nick: it hurts to walk, and talk, and well breathing really kills too.

kevin: oh thats not good.

nick: yeah well it will get better soon.

kevin: how are you feeling christina?

chrisitna: im fine. just extremely tired.

kevin: yeah its been a really long day.

chrisitna: what time is it?

kevin: (kevin looks at his watch) about 10 pm.

nick: its only september so nights are still lit pretty well but since its so late, its dark now.

chrisitna: yeah i know.

nick: how close are we to her house kev?

kevin: i think we just have a mile left.

nick: one more mile babe. come on, we can do it.

chrisitna: i know. i just want a big glass of milk when i get home.

nick: ill get it for you as soon as we walk in baby.

chrisitna: (she smiles at him and keeps walking) how many people do yuo think will be at my house?

kevin: well jordan said he was going to tell your parents that you were missing, but that was five hours ago. so your parents could have called the police or sent out searching parties by now.

chrisitna: wonderful. so much for my peaceful glass of milk...

(the group walks for a few more minutes and finally reaches christina's house. to their surprise, no sirons or blinking lights from cop cars. the neighborhood seemed pretty quiet. kevin, nick and christina walk up to her door and she slowly opens it and walks inside.)

chrisitna: jordan?? (she calls quietly) hello?? is anyone home?? (she looks around and finds the house to be strangely empty)

nick: there is no one home??

chrisitna: not a soul. that could be a bad thing. they could all e out searching for us.

kevin: well before we assume anything, why dont you try calling kelly and lexi's house?

chrisitna: good idea kevin. (she walks over to the phone and dials kelly's number)

kelly: hello?

chrisitna: hey kelly, its christina.

kelly: christina?! oh my gosh its you!!! i cant believe my ears!!!!! where have you been!!!??? weve been looking for you all day!!! tell me where you are right this second young lady or you are gonna be in so much trouble!!!

chrisitna: kelly calm down and let me get a word in! now check your caller ID and you tell me where i am.

kelly: (she checks the ID) youre at your house?!

chrisitna: yup. but no one is home...

kelly: oh. (her voice suddenly gets sad) well maybe you should come over here.

chrisitna: kelly whats wrong?

kelly: nothing but jordan is here and he wants to talk to you.

chrisitna: ok? (shes a bit confused)

kelly: see ya soon. bye.

chrisitna: hello? kelly? (she puts down the phone.) she hung up on me!
