26th Gold Medal Celebration Decentralized Dance Party, DDP

Celebrating the anniversary of the Vancouver Winter Olympics, one year earlier, the Decentralized Dance Party takes over Granville Street. The previous 5 sunny days did not foretell the snowfall but thousands danced in the street anyhow as the flakes came down. Camera: David Silvercloud. Sony Nex-5 with 16mm lens, fish eye and accessory mic attachment. Camera wrapped in plastic to keep off the snow. Camera is on a SLIK Lighty Pod 200 mono pod.

The girls at around 1:45 mark are embarrasing to watch. The one with the bandana on her head is wearing an American Apparel jacket...lol Not to mention it is sad how their Canadian pride is predicated on bashing other nations....really quite sad. Those two are idiots and hypocrites. DDP is a patriotic, but yet inclusive event for all.

@xianapple I left her in the video because she is expressing real happiness and expressing her love of Canada. I don't think the U.S.A. remark should be taken seriously. Both girls were having a good time and wanted to show it. A little enthusiastic patriotism is a good thing for Canada.
