@hongkonghottie chinese society has always been like that, so its the culture not the lack of religion or the presence of communism. Mao ze dong actually abolished the practice of polygamy and demanded that woman have equal rights as men.

I have worked in stayed in China quite a lot.
The society there really has issues.
Some people just have very low moral standards. Especially the young generation now.
From what I see, years of Communist rule and lack of religion has really hurt the society.
