  • What is the minimum of batch size for this particular frame to make it cost effective to use this setup vs. a maned welding setup?

  • wouldn't know the minimum quantity

but the company which bought the robotic system produces from 8k to 10k of frames yearly

  • I think this video was just an exercise in irony. The hyper emotional movie music, accompanying a completely emotionless process.

  • @bo5169 My thought exactly, 8,000 of the same frame. Go check out my channel Im starting to upload videos as I finish frames in our jigs, each one is different... Baby got soul!!! The videos are a bit dry since I dont sound very excited (lol) but I think its better than a machine

  • @ktmrider300 Amen!

  • Why solid wire? It seems it would be too brittle for the stresses of a motorcycle frame. I tig weld motorcycle frames. Takes longer but tig produces more of a ductile weld. Looks better as well. I do like the robots though, just not for motorcycles.

  • OTC Daihen robot's Rocks...

  • agreed

  • i can appreciate hand made products that people take pride in. i mostly ride bmx and all the frames i buy are hand made in the USA

  • This video belongs in the how to make the most money for your business or popular mechanics forum video.

  • The poor frame was already born without a soul.

Okay, what the hell was that? Why are you suddenly shoving apostrophes into places where they don't belong? And here you had such a good thing going. Tsk, tsk.
