I liked the feature length version better, it was more surreal. What happened to the green faced old guy? the main characters suicide?? this one is good for a tv movie, but the other one was pure (Oscar) Gold!

@dorothyling Thanks for the question. I've always liked the poem and the imagery in it. One basic reason I chose it was to try present it as a first person narrative as the character recalling a memory, not a campfire type reading, which is more common with this poem.
