This is all breaking my heart. I lived in Libya for a while and nothing being said about the country, nor Qadafi is true. Yes he is eccentric, including being eccentric-enough to have transformed Libyans from being amongst the most impoverished people on Earth, to having free education, free health care and even free housing if necessary.

Not the "American Way". He is a socialist, can't have that can we!!

I often think of Warren Buffet sitting in his plush corporate penthouse, salivating over the idea of selling Libya's fresh water from it's wonderful aquifer in millions of bottles of Dasani and Pepsi's CEO doing the same thinking of Aquafina...

@gerryhiles - From what i've been reading, Libya sounds like one of the best places on earth to live. The ONLY reason that the US are after Gadaffi is because like Saddam before him, he won't borrow money from the federal reserve banks, instead he prints his own. Every country in the world could print their own money if they wanted to, and guess what? If they did, we wouldn't be in any mess, as we wouldn't have any interest to pay on the billions that we lend. US backing the Rothschilds again.

The problem is the Britain and their Queen. The royal family of England are interested only in their survival. QE2 is largest owner of BP, and after the BP Gulf oil disaster it's clear they've set their eyes on Libya for their oil. I don't know what concessions they are making to the United States but without the U.S. Gadaffi would prevail. Obama should be called on the carpet for this. NATO should leave this country now.
