Deadly cancer sticks/cigarettes are fine. Natural herb = the rest of your life in a cell. But, manslaughter gets you only a few years with good behavior. Great system.

Life in prison for marijuana yet repeat pedophiles, rapists and murderers routinely get no jail time Or are released back into society to rape and kill innocents. Case in point: Chelsea King and Amber Dubois were raped and killed by repeat pedophile John Gardner who was paroled by our so-called criminal justice system who raped and killed when he was released from prison.

but isn't the fact that this television station is framing the event as questionable a good sign? that is, at least they are not just showing a perp walk and framing it as a drug war victory or a sign that society is crumbling. they seem to be saying, "hmmm, something seems askew." that's good, right?

@NorgiArt I'm not sure if you're familiar with Chris Hedges, but he has some interesting views on the media. The media only follows the sway of society, never leads. It is only because us, the society, is starting to question the legitimacy of marijuana prohibition on a massive scale. The media is only trying to appeal to the upcoming majority viewpoint. Fortunately, the upcoming majority viewpoint on marijuana legislation is a positive one!
