"Dear Esther" was originally released as a Source mod in 2008 for PC. The game Dear Esther has players wander across a desolate and beautiful world while listening to the narrator read letters to a woman he loves. According to the game's Steam page, "every play-through [is] a unique experience, with randomly generated audio, visuals and events." Developed by "thechineseroom" keep an eye out for this PC only title February, 2012.

  • Guys, shut up already. As To The Moon said, these kind of art games shouldn't be seen as games, nor books, nor movies, but yet, as a way of telling a story through viewing and hearing. But it is still classified as an Art Game.
