The famous Fumblerooski play helps Nebraska cut Miami's 17-0 lead to 17-14 at halftime as Dean Steinkuhler scores on the guard around.

There was more Nebraska trickery, not as well publicized. #2 is not Mike McCashland, despite what it says on the back of the jersey. Tom Osborne had McCashland change jerseys with fellow defensive back #33 Dave Burke. The officials were notified but NBC was not. Don Criqui and John Brodie called Burke by McCashland's name several times throughout this quarter, including on a key interception, before being informed of the switch.
