  • wow, that's amazing, why did they need to salvage this vessel???

  • Because vessel sank near oil platform and they were afraid that ship's wreck may be dangerous for construction.

  • She collided with the gas platform she was supplying - there's video of her sinking like a stone right alongside the platform. She's not been down for long, doubtless redeemable.

  • Very interesting!! Would love to work in salvage. Very challenging.

  • @ninja2kernow Yet many industries are more profitable.Do not be fooled by raw numbers.Percentage profit is what matters.

  • @welshfluteplayer I doubt very much its scrap. it would cost more to break her up for scrap than to repair her.

  • Probably scrap now they just needed it out of the way.
