  • My experience so far is that 1. it is difficult to completely stop all cooked food, or occassional sugary processed food or other 'bad' food. However 2. generally sticking to raw food diet and using a few of the highest quality supplements is best 'carnosine when fatty or mixed compound foods are consumed. And 1000 miligrams or so of trans resveratrol with food.......having said that nothing is as good as a low calorie high quality food diet.

  • I have a question, He hasn't referred to some studies which relate to the sufficient doses of some compounds. He has talked about the ideal complex of nutrients for you, but hasn't referred to the information on gene expression and food. The body's cell's gene expressions can change enormously in reponse to the availability of different compounds. Take for example antioxidant resvertrol in high doses can enhance health. Most medicines are high doses of compounds occuring in nature.

  • @tanpm0620 way to miss the point. YOU DON'T NEED SUPPLEMENTS YOU NEED FOOD SILLY.

  • @mikek241

My uncle died from cancer at 69, was a heavy smoker and diabetic but he had still no gray hair and it was full and strong!

  • Doug is (in my opinion) the best source for truth about food.

  • @hacheynotduncombe No dude, as I understand it your body urinates out any excess, aslong as its from a whole food and not a supplement

  • This man has like no body fat and he 60. I'm listening.

  • Great talk! This is why I suck it up and buy the more expensive New Chapter supplements for my family. It's totally food-based so I know they aren't just excreting nutrients :)

  • can you overdose on potassium?
