Is that h.p. quote for the base carrera? If it is then my grandpa's 996 GT3 is obsolete.

No, the base model should get around 360-370, but maybe less.

The fenders are already very flared, and Porsche's main priority is performance, not style...well most of the time anyway.

They need to lower the front and rear,slim down the lines and flare the fenders. Bad for aerodynamically but from a stylistically and purist standpoint much nicer.

Apart from the HP improvement, I don't see a reason why they would do these lifts! I just bought Carrera S (997), and in a year it is going to look like an older model! This sucks!
