The Last Winter is a 2006 thriller film, directed by Larry Fessenden. The Last Winter premiered in The Contemporary World Cinema Programme at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2006. The script for the film originally featured a more woodsy Alaska with pine trees and it was after a research trip to Prudhoe Bay that they discovered the harsh flat conditions that ultimately ended up in the film.

Not everything has to be fucking blood and guts, if you can't appreciate psychological horror, then your not good enough to a fan of horror.

Pay no attnetion to Al Gore below, this movie is more about Wendigo monsters attacking people with global warming in the distant background. Decent film for what it was

This film would've been a hell of a lot fuckin better without that annoying son of a bitch Ron Pearlman, he's cool in Hellboy when can't see his stupid fucking face and hear is annoying bullshit tough guy voice . Do yourselves a favor and watch Wendigo instead.

Love how ignorants show themselves having a device connected to the internet: appreciation of a creation for the 7th. art was not meant for all the......living creatures (<= not people; people think with reason and greatness, love art and enjoy life with wisdom). I guess we should be talking about "The avengers" or "Twilight" to understand how "their" neurological system works....if there is any at all.

It was the end of the world because of the global warming: tides got so big, you can hear the ocean outside the hospital. The doctor didnt hold up, so he make the move. Looks like she was takin a nap when everything happened. Really scary end.

This movie is SHIT! I cannot believe Connie Britton would stoop so low, she must have been helping a desperate friend or something. :\

What happened in the end??????????????? Was she alone? Where was everyone? Why did the doctor hang himself?

This was an incredible film. It was extraordinarily tense, and contained one of the scariest scenes I have ever seen.

No, it's not all blood and guts, but the violence and deaths in this film were FAR more disturbing and horrifying than many of the awful horror films coming out these days... and the great horror films coming out these days too.

    I thought it was brilliant.
