This video explains why the second law of thermodynamics does not prohibit evolution, abiogenesis or naturalistic cosmology. Natural mechanisms can produce order from disorder, and this video shows why every step in our origins has a valid mechanism for this increase in order.

This video also explains, briefly, why applying the second law of thermodynamics to genetics is fallacious. For a positive example of evolution producing order from disorder in genetics see my video 'An Increase in Information':

  • @SethS117 Nevertheless dark matter plays a big role, without it the universe would have expanded much further

  • @Impaler1815

I can kinda agree with you on the oscillatory universe idea, but the only part of that theory that I agree with is the Big Bang, but the big crunch just seems to be bit far fetched. There really isn't any evidence that points to any big crunch happening or has happened for the that matter, unless of coarse you look at dark matter, but still there hasn't been enough research done on dark matter to confirm anything.

  • @SiriusMined They can't comprehend what a 'system' is either.

  • @TerrencePhillip66 You're still missing the error in your statement that I was correcting: "Nothing can decrease entropy, the amount of usable energy in a system." Entropy of a system can be decreased when you transfer energy between the system and its external environment.

The correct statement is "nothing can decrease the entropy of an ISOLATED system."

  • @terrymorse No, youv'e just added an electrical outlet connected to a power grid connected to a generator to your system. And the fuel it is burning is destroying more molecular bonds than the ensuing energy will ever create. You have increased disorder. Should have kept the air conditoner off if you are so concerned about thermodynamic disorder.

  • @TerrencePhillip66 "Nothing can decrease entropy, the amount of usable energy in a system."

I can decrease the entropy in my office on a hot day. I turn on the air conditioner.

Nothing can decrease entropy in a CLOSED system. That one word makes a big difference.

  • BTW, no system, intelligent or otherwise can decrease entropy of a system. If you tidy up your room or mess it up, work is done, and entropy increases. So the creotard idea that intelligence can decrease entropy is wrong. flat out wrong. Nothing can decrease entropy, the amount of usable energy in a system. The reason is simple. The work done in a system will always destroy more molecular bonds than the system will create molecular bonds. Therefore thermodynamic disorder will always increase.

  • First, thermodynamic order is not 'messy room/neat room' 'order'. Look it up. And complexity is not order. Information cannot be stored in 'orderly' systems. That is the key to DNA. The base pairs in a gene are not orderly like let's say a pure crystal of quartz. And it is that 'disorder' that allows for complexity.

  • The Creatards main problem is a complete lack of understand of what "order" mean in reference to the 2nd law.

  • @AcanLord

almost every species displays comunication to an extent.

only higher apes have even the vaguest posibilty of true language.

even then humans must teach them through simplified signs.

to display the kind of language demonstrated in the bible, it would have to be a litteral miracle.
