仙杜拉對香港粵語流行樂壇可以說有舉足輕重的影響，因為她的個人­成名作《啼笑姻緣》不單帶動了電視劇主題曲的風潮，而且帶動了整­個廣東歌流行市場，對我們香港人來說可謂意義深遠。

That sounds more like it. I have seen her a couple of times when I lived in Vancouver in the 1990s. Moreover, I know that she is still very active in Vancouver and even sing part-time in some local jazz/blues bars and is reputed to be the only Asian that has ever sung jazz/blues professionally in the city.
