I briefly explain about changing the subject direction of my youtube channel to help people understand about what it's like being blind and in this video I share a few pieces of my adaptive equipment.
(I had my light on a little too bright on this one, will get better next time!)

  • On my computer I have a software program called ZoomText that magnifies everything on the screen big enough that I can see it. Thanks for your question.

  • @shelleymagnussen1959 your a dumb ass

  • @2011athlete Oh okay. I see.

  • @musicproducer16 well yea theres "legally blind" but thats a heck of a lot different than blind.

  • @spotdathief if your blind then your not just going to see black you pretty much have no vision so you cant pick out what your seeing. another way of saying it is that your eyes become so unfocused that........i cant even describe it! so the glasses help focus your eyes and if you tried wearing the glasses then your eyes might pop out!! thats pretty much what i know of blindness

  • @shelleymagnussen1959 Um, to improve your vision?

  • If you've always had the same degree of blindness, that question is next to impossible to answer. If you think about it,, it might be difficult to explain your visual abillity to a blind person. I see normally for me. Let me borrow your eyes for a couple weeks and then I'll be able to explain it better. :)

  • Why do you need glasses if you're sighted???

  • legally blind has many ranges, from fuzzy vision to complete blackness. Less than 10% of all legally blind are in the dark. Most have some sight or ability to see shapes, colors, or objects. There are many gadgets available to help those with extreme "low vision" from eye glasses with magnification to dogs. I am at 20/400 vision meaning at 20 feet from the chart, I see what most would see if they stood 400 feet away from the same chart. She has done a great job here! Bless you!

  • @SkyNetworkTV I have a window manager that allows anyone using it to see the screen good enough if they can see at all.
