  • I couldn't have expect that of a 4 cyl. diesel compact pickup of the 1980's.

    That thing sure has some balls.

  • Actually that engine had WAY MUCH blow by at just Idle... I just picked up another one a week ago today that has 91K actual miles on it and it has WAY more power than the one in this vid. The one in this Vid had sat for 10 years so i think it needed new rings causing it to loose compression which in return causes a lose of power.

  • That's definitely got more power than the '83. I don't imagine the '83 could burn rubber without some kind of aid..and even then!

  • @alienc3 My 83 had a limited slip posi and i tried one time to burn tires. I held it on the floor and poped the clutch and got a chirch and THAT WAS IT! LOL

  • just the turbo diesels.

  • I did one with mine. Was only able to because it was a doughnut tire and i was pushed up against a tree. Still about had the engine maxed out though.
