  • I've got a brass band and solo bass trombone . I love it :D

  • Yeah, we used this as our closing song, and our conductor would say things like, "We've been blah blah stage band, thank you for coming" etc over the top, so we didn't have vocals. Ours is only a simple arrangement, too. It was probably my favourite piece though. :)

  • Works for me!!! :)

I did enjoy it, but my school plays it a little faster.. maybe it is because we have vocal along with us. i dunno. :)

  • Well, I'd say we're about even then. Either way, I think you'll find it's not much slower than the original recording. We enjoyed it, and our audience always did. :)

  • We have been doing this song since the school has been around. Before Mrs. Calloway died, she always came... and we learned a lot from her... and Minnie the Moocher.

  • Hee hee, it's cute. :P

  • shut up hanny..you know it makes me hit those high notes =P

  • And really, I don't think going to Cab Calloway School of the Arts qualifies you to "know" all their is to know about music and Minne the Moocher. My old school had been playing this song for as long as its had a stage band, and that's probably longer than you've been alive. But thanks for your comment and opinion.

  • It's about as fast as the original Cab Calloway recording, I think you'll find. I think we do normally play it a bit faster, though. We were going for raunchy and jazzy as opposed to fast and technical.
